Most beginners quit in the first month
Not because they are unfit or uncoordinated, but because nobody told them what to expect. Every time I took up a new art, I started again at the back of the class as a beginner. These seven tips are what I have learned from that side of the mat:
- Choose the instructor, not the style.
- Try three classes before you decide.
- You don't need to get fit first.
- Leave your ego at the door.
- Tap early, tap often.
- Buy kit slowly.
- Aim for consistency, not perfection.
The free guide explains each one, with a simple action to take before your first night.
